grid 650 is a 65% custom mechanical keyboard. It represents what we imagine when retro and timeless styles meet excellent functionalities.

Key features:

  • 65% size, support WK, and WKL layout.

  • 5.5 degrees, similar to Cherry G80-3000

  • Interchangeable modules ( currently 11, more to come )

  • Powered by QMK, the wired version supports VIA.

  • Hybrid mount design supports both plate-less mount and gasket mount.

  • 4 plate options: plateless, 4mm aluminum ANSI plate, 1.5mm aluminum universal plate, 1.5mm polycarbonate plate (WK+WKL, ANSI/ISO support)

  • The included USB-C hub supports a reversible USB 2.0 Type-A female port for mouse receivers (in wired mode).

  • HUB board features full battery management and a PROTECTION BYPASS function if you want to use an aftermarket, self-protected lithium battery.

  • Included 18650 battery holder.

  • Approximately one month of battery life when used with a 3000mAh battery.

  • Front LED indicator, four colors: Red, Orange, White, and Blue.

  • PORON damper with fixtures

Please notice that we have a third plate option: 1.5mm polycarbonate plate, which is mainly similar to our 1.5 aluminum one with some exceptions: no support for stepped CAPSLOCK, no support for 6U space.

Please note the first four images above were rendered during the IC phase of grid 650. There are some updates:

  • PORON replaces felt, and it is much larger.

  • PC plates use PORON gaskets instead of silicon ones.

Module Type-02S NEON-S

NEON-S module creates red, blue, and green colors and adapts itself to ambient light. Unlike the mildly radioactive power on the NEON module, NEON-S uses electricity instead and is much brighter.

Module Type-06 WAVE

Organic shape inspired by ocean waves.

Module Type-07 ARRAY:

A module utilizes vintage LED displays to indicate time, personal texts, or computer hardware info (PC only).

  1. Display current time, computer hardware info (windows only), custom texts.

  2. Atmel 32U4 MCU

  3. CR1220 battery holder (battery not included) for on-board RTC (real time clock) chip

  4. Two buttons with extra individual leaf springs

  5. Programmable, Catalina Bootloader, source program will be available.

  6. Can display 16 words or symbol, including “!\”#$%&'()*+,-./0123456789:;<=>?@ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ[\]^_”

  7. Compatible with included 18650 battery holder.

  8. Average power consumption is 250mA@5V

  9. Optional Signal Port to allow wireless data communication.

Two modules share the same simple aesthetic while representing a different approach.


Module Type-09 STAND

A phone or tablet stand module.

  1. The surface that contacts your device will be Thorp, a suede fabric similar to Alcantara.

  2. Grove opening at 185mm or 7.28inch

  3. Grove width can be adjusted from 7.5 to 12mm or 0.3 to 0.47inch.

  4. The angle to the desktop is 62°

  • Hotswap PCB only supports WK layout

  • WKL layout is only compatible with 1.5mm universal position plate

  • A 4mm ANSI position plate is recommended for a hotswap PCB. We can’t guarantee the user experience of using a plateless mounted hotswap PCB.

  • It is possible to pull the switch off from the hotswap PCB when you use a plateless hotswap configuration.

  • Using BATTERY PROTECTION BYPASS will void your warranty.

  • Please use 3.7V 18650 battery.
